Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines permitted and prohibited behavior when using Cevi's platform, services, and related resources. This policy applies to all users of the Cevi Service, including customers, their employees, and any third parties who access the Service through a customer account.
1. General Use
Users of the Cevi Service are expected to: comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including HIPAA and state healthcare privacy regulations; comply with all Cevi information security policies and procedures; respect the intellectual property rights of Cevi, its customers, and third parties; maintain the confidentiality of account credentials and not share them with unauthorized individuals; use the Service only for its intended purpose of healthcare operations automation.
2. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited when using the Cevi Service:
Security violations: Attempting to circumvent any security measure of Cevi or its customers; scanning or probing the security of the Service without written authorization; attempting to access accounts, data, or systems without authorization; interfering with the normal operation of the Service.
Data misuse: Using the Service to collect, store, or process data in violation of HIPAA or other applicable privacy laws; accessing or disclosing protected health information (PHI) without proper authorization; using patient data for marketing, advertising, or any purpose not authorized by the applicable Business Associate Agreement; sharing confidential information outside authorized channels.
Harmful content and behavior: Using the Service to transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code; sending unsolicited communications (spam) through the Service; using the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service for other users; using the Service for any illegal activity.
Intellectual property violations: Copying, modifying, or distributing Cevi's proprietary software, content, or materials without authorization; reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any component of the Service; using Cevi's trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.
3. API and Integration Use
When using Cevi's APIs and integrations, users must: adhere to published rate limits and usage guidelines; not attempt to exceed authorized access levels; not use APIs to extract data in bulk for purposes outside the Service; report any API vulnerabilities or security issues to security@cevi.ai immediately.
4. Monitoring and Enforcement
Cevi monitors use of the Service to ensure compliance with this AUP. We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation. If we determine that a violation has occurred, we may take any action we deem appropriate, including: issuing a warning, suspending or terminating access to the Service, removing content that violates this policy, and reporting the activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to security@cevi.ai. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
6. Changes to This Policy
Cevi may update this AUP from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
